Summary
Introduction of ordinance amendment to Section 19-40 of the Code of Ordinances to provide certain allowances for the keeping of animals in the RD and HL zoning districts.
A public comment period will not be included with this item.
ACTION: Schedule public hearing.
Description
The CDC is recommending an ordinance amendment to Section 19-40 of the Code of Ordinances related to the keeping of animals in the RD and HL Zoning Districts. The principal purpose of this amendment is to correct an administrative oversight from 2016. Included with this agenda item are the following:
- A memo providing additional background information on this matter;
- An ordinance introduction letter;
- The ordinance amendment recommended by the CDC;
- A map showing the areas of town zoned RD and HL that also depicts which areas of RD were formerly zoned RB vs Farm and Forest.
