Background

This project was last discussed by the Council on March 1, 2021.

A project web portal was launched on October 16 providing initial community input opportunities. Messages announcing this portal have been distributed through various Town communication channels.

Community Connectors

Residents are encouraged to sign up to help spread the word and engage friends, family, and neighbors in taking part in the Vision and Values project.

Community Survey

The first survey of the Vision & Values Project was launched on November 12. The responses to this first survey will be used to help frame future community engagement around the Vision & Values process.  The deadline to complete the survey was January 31, 2021. There were approximately 1,720 responses to the survey with 75% of respondents completing all 39 questions. The survey results have been posted on the Vision & Values project portal data visualization platform. There is a video explaining how to use the platform and highlighting some initial high-level results. Data is presented in interactive charts, allowing for exploration of what the community thinks about a range of key issues and areas where various cohorts may share or differ in perspective. The interactive charts can be filtered by age cohort, neighborhood, years living in Falmouth, and more.

Future Summit #1

Future Summit #1 was held virtually on Monday, March 1. Future iQ presented data from the first community survey and discussed next steps in the process. Nearly 40 attendees engaged in rapid polling questions and a Q&A session. Future Summits will be held at key points in the visioning process. These forward-looking community events (currently held virtually) will combine a presentation of data and results gathered to date as well as an opportunity to explore key issues and challenges facing the community. If you missed Future Summit #1, you can watch a video of the meeting on the Vision & Values portal and join us for another Future Summit on March 29!
