Description
In light of the passing of a state referendum regarding the use, possession, cultivation and sale of recreational marijuana, the Council will review the impact on local land use policy. Town Attorneys Amy Tchao and Ted Kelleher as well as Code Enforcement Officer Justin Brown will be present to review federal and state involvement, explain the relationship between medical and recreational regulation and to discuss options for local regulation.
The Council discussed this item initially on December 12, 2016. Since that meeting the state has declared that the referendum voted on November 7, 2016 passed.
