Summary
Order to authorize the Town Manager to execute an option agreement substantially in the form presented at this meeting to purchase two parcels of land as shown on Town of Falmouth Tax Map R05 Lot 038, and Tax Map R05 Lot 039.
A public comment period will be included with this item (3 minutes).
ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Description
The Land Management and Acquisition Committee (LMAC) is recommending the acquisition of the property referred to as the Adam parcels. This property abuts the River Point Conservation Area and includes an area subject to a stream restoration project on the Piscataqua River West Branch. The Council discussed this parcel at its July 24, 2017 meeting. Obtaining ownership of this property would add additional 38-acres to an existing block of conservation land along the East Branch and provide access to the West Branch area needing restoration.
