Summary

Public Hearing on amendments to Sections 19-8, 19-9, and 19-10.1 of the Zoning and Site Plan Review Ordinance relative to amending maximum residential density allowances for two- and multi-family development in the RA, RB, and RD Districts.

A public comment period will be included with this item (5 minutes per person).

Description

These proposed amendments were introduced at the January 22, 2018 Town Council meeting.  The amendments propose to reduce maximum residential density allowances for two- and multi-family developments in the RA, RB, and RD Districts so that they match the density allowances for single family development in those districts.  These amendments were introduced concurrently with other proposed amendments related to the Resource Conservation Zoning Overlay District (RCZOD).  At the January 22 Council meeting, the Council determined that the residential density amendments should be separated from the RCZOD amendments and that separate public hearings should be held for each item.
