Description
At the August 13 Town Council meeting, representatives from the Falmouth Memorial Library presented an update to the Town Council on the renovation and expansion of the Library. A recent construction estimate is presenting some challenges to the project.
The Town Council will discuss whether a referendum question in November 2018 should remain an option for future consideration of the Town Council. If they determine a referendum question should remain an option, there are deadlines that must be met regarding development of a referendum question and bond order. The drafting of those documents would require assistance from bond counsel. In order to meet those deadlines, the Town Council will determine at this meeting whether to request bond counsel to draft a question and bond order in time for the Council's consideration at their August 27 regular meeting.
