Summary
Order to approve a supplemental appropriation from Unassigned Fund Balance in the amount of $45,000 to fund the Town's enhanced and ongoing communications efforts.

Description
Background:
The Town Council passed Resolution 130-2019 on May 29, 2019. Developing an improved communication system is a key component of the Resolution.
In July 2019, the Town of Falmouth mailed a survey to residents regarding communications methods and the best means of imparting information to and receiving feedback from the community. 345 responses have been received and the survey results can be viewed here.
The Council designated the creation of a strategic communications plan a top priority on the 2019-2020 work plan. At the October 16 Council meeting, Erin Cadigan, Education and Outreach Coordinator, delivered an update on the development of a plan and a report on new communication tools and efforts.
Current Status:
The Council will consider a supplemental appropriation from Unassigned Fund Balance in the amount of $45,000 to fund these enhanced and ongoing communications efforts.
