Summary
Presentation by the Falmouth Land Trust and special public comment opportunity regarding the conservation of 52 acres on Route 1 and Johnson Road.

Description
The Falmouth Land Trust (Trust) has been working with Don Hincks to explore the purchase of land located on the corner of Johnson Road and Route 1. The Land Trust seeks to acquire the 52-acre property for open space and conservation. The Trust has raised part of the funding to support the acquisition. The Trust offered a presentation (attached) to the Town Council on February 3, 2020 and requested that the Town contribute funding toward the project. The Town Council decided that the next step would need to include an opportunity for public comment, which is the purpose of this agenda item. A summary of Town land acquisitions since 2007 is attached. Also attached is information about two prior Town/Land Trust land acquisition partnerships.
