A Special Public Comment Period will be included with this item (3 minutes).

ACTION: Council action is not anticipated.

Description

The Town Council’s 2020-2021Work Plan assigned to the Community Development Committee (CDC) the task of reviewing the land use and zoning recommendations contained in the Route 100 Vision Plan authored by the Ad Hoc Route 100 Committee in 2015.  Over the past few months, the CDC has been reviewing the Vision Plan’s recommendations, reviewing the work of prior CDCs on this subject, and reviewing general zoning issues along the Route 100 corridor.

The CDC is now proposing a list of specific recommendations for land use and zoning changes and is seeking feedback on its recommendations from the public and the Council.  The intent is for staff and the CDC to use this feedback to inform next steps moving forward and to help inform the scope of ordinance amendments to be drafted and brought back to the Council for a formal introduction in the future.  For additional background information, please see the staff memo attached to this agenda item.
