Summary
Order to authorize the Town Manager to execute agreements with the Maine Department of Transportation to release property rights in two parcels in order to facilitate the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Woods, Longwoods, and Middle Roads.
A public comment period will be included with this item (3 minutes).
ACTION: Council action is anticipated.
Description
As part of the design for the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Woods, Longwoods, and Middle Roads, the Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) has identified various areas where additional rights are needed. These areas fall outside the existing road rights-of-way and are necessary to facilitate the construction of the proposed roundabout. MDOT has identified two parcels owned by the Town of Falmouth for which these rights are being requested.
