Item 6

Re-enactment of Ordinance No.128-2020, an emergency ordinance to temporarily suspend certain provisions of the Falmouth Code of Ordinances relating to outdoor eating areas and outdoor retail display to assist businesses suffering economic loss due to COVID-19 in a manner consistent with the Governor’s re-opening plan.

A public hearing is not required under the Town Charter for the adoption of an emergency ordinance. The Council accepted public comment on this item when this item was discussed at the Council’s May 27 meeting, when the ordinance was first re-enacted at the Council’s July 20 meeting, and when the ordinance was re-enacted a second time on September 14. Public comment will be taken at this meeting.

2020.11.09 Special Town Council Virtual Meeting

On Monday, November 9, 2020, at 7:00 pm, the Falmouth Town Council will conduct a virtual meeting using emergency legislation, Sec. G-1 MRSA §403-A, that allows cities and towns to conduct meetings online. 

The Town will use “Zoom” to conduct this meeting. The link to join the meeting via computer and phone instructions are below. In order to participate in the “public comment” portion of the meeting, please make sure your Zoom application is up to date. Otherwise, you will need to call into the meeting to participate.
