Summary

Order to accept Paddock Way, Kilarney Way, and Cavendish Road as public streets.

ACTION: Council action is anticipated.

Description

Paddock Way, LLC, owner/developer of Paddock Way and Kilarney Way, along with Libby Construction Inc., owner/developer of Cavendish Road, have submitted applications requesting that the Town accept the aforementioned streets as public streets. The application has been reviewed by Town staff and the Town’s attorney.  

Memorandums from Justin Early, Town Engineer are attached. The memos provide further detail on the specifics of the application. Copies of the deeds, as-built plans, and subdivision plans are also attached.

This item was first presented at the Council's October 14, 2015 meeting. At that time, the Council recommended that the applicant consider including Cavendish Road with their request, in order to comply with the Town's ordinance and policy with regards to street connectivity. The Council's direction has resulted in Cavendish Road applying for street acceptance, thus satisfying the street connectivity criteria in the Town's resolution. 

At the September 30, 2020 Council meeting, staff provided an update that the application is now complete and ready for Council consideration to formally accept the streets. At the meeting, there was consensus amongst the Council to move the application forward for final Council action.
